Llano Heat Safety Guide

Veguita & Rio Grande Estates Edition

Signs of Heat Exhaustion

  • Heavy sweating & cold, clammy skin
  • Fast, weak pulse or dizziness
  • Nausea or muscle cramps
  • Feeling faint or "out of it"
Immediate Action: Move to shade. Use a wet towel on your neck. Sip water with a pinch of salt. Get out of the bus/vehicle.

⚠️ Heat Stroke (Emergency)

  • High Body Temp: Above 104°F (40°C)
  • Altered State: Confusion, slurred speech
  • Skin: Hot, red, dry (sweating has stopped)
  • Rapid, strong pulse
Emergency Action: CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY. Move person to shade. Douse with water. Do not give fluids if they are unconscious.

Stay Ahead of the Heat

  • Hydrate Early: Drink water before you feel thirsty. Add electrolytes (salt/lemon).
  • Shade your Metal: Use a shade cloth "fly" over your bus or RV roof to create an air gap.
  • Ventilation: Open windows at night, but close them and use blackout curtains by 9 AM.
  • Check Neighbors: Watch out for folks in tents or uninsulated vehicles between 2 PM and 6 PM.

Nature's Vessel Security Swarm

A Message to the Bad Actors

If you’re here to cook, steal, or scrap—the Llano is getting smaller.

We aren't waiting for outside help that takes forty minutes to arrive. We are already watching. We are already recording. And now, we are organizing.

The "swarm" is waking up, and it has a very long memory for those who violate the peace of the Estates.
