AI Content & Use Policy

Conceptual illustration of AI Content for Nature’s Vessel, showing a digital brain merging with desert flora and sustainable technology to represent high-desert resilience

At Nature’s Vessel, our mission is to document and share the authentic art of high-desert resilience. Because we deal with critical local knowledge—from water harvesting to first aid—we believe in transparency regarding how technology, specifically Artificial Intelligence (AI), is used to generate the resources on this site.

Effective 2-1-2026

1. Our Commitment to Authenticity

The core of Nature’s Vessel is “Field Notes from the Llano.” We prioritize human experience, local failures, and real-world successes.

  • Human-Led Documentation: All guides regarding local gardening techniques, permaculture, and community-building are authored or deeply vetted by human contributors living on the Llano.
  • No “Ghost” AI: We do not use AI to generate “hallucinated” advice or generic gardening tips that haven’t been tested in our unique high-desert or similar environments.

2. How We Use AI

We may use AI tools as “digital compost”—to help break down complex information or organize our thoughts—in the following ways:

  • Editing & Clarity: To help refine grammar, improve readability, or summarize long-form community discussions.
  • Data Visualization: To assist in processing local weather data or creating charts that help our community understand desert trends.
  • Coding: To help improve coding speed and auditing to provide a better user end experience.
  • Brainstorming: To generate ideas for community challenges or site features.
  • Micro-Learning: To help improve understanding of the concepts and the science behind what we’re doing. The learning is in the verifying. And it’s teaching the LLM AI at the same time if your diligent.
  • Automated Tasks:We use plugins from companies that automate and improve data security and other tasks to provide a better experience and save time for gardening.

3. Disclosure & Responsibility

  • Verification: Every piece of technical advice (especially related to First Aid, water safety, or construction) is verified by a human expert before publication. AI is never the “final word” on safety-critical information.
  • Transparency: If a specific article or resource is significantly generated or co-authored by an AI tool, we will include a clear disclosure at the beginning or end of that post.

4. Community Contributions

Nature’s Vessel is a community hub. We ask that our collaborators and contributors:

  • Disclose AI Use: If you use AI to help write a guide or “Field Note,” please let us know.
  • Prioritize the “Dirt”: We value your photos of your actual garden and your personal descriptions of what worked more than polished, AI-generated imagery or text.

5. Ethical Hosting & Innovation

Just as we choose green hosting (powered by 300% wind energy), we strive to use AI tools that are transparent and ethical. We view AI as a tool for efficiency, but never as a replacement for the hands-on resilience of our Rio Grande Estates and Veguita neighbors.
